Absolutely. Hudson should be bumped now anyway (for Pallante).Fat_Bulldog wrote: ↑August 8 22, 8:02 amIf Flaherty comes back as a starter, who gets bumped out of the rotation? Hudson?

Re: Flaherty and Bader to the IL
It seems they are concerned about Pallentes innings and I bet they want him in the pen for the playoffs.
So Pallente to the pen with Hudson in the rotation is the teams solution.
IF Pallente has to be in the pen, why not send Hudson down to work out his issues in AAA. Bring woodford up have him start and let Pallente piggyback
I’m just tired of Hudson and all the damn walks.

Hudson has actually done better out of the pen in the past. Would make sense to push him. You can still limit Pallante's innings if that is the goal.

A clever way to get him that pitch clock.a_smith wrote: ↑August 8 22, 9:28 amIt seems they are concerned about Pallentes innings and I bet they want him in the pen for the playoffs.

Flaherty starts Wednesday in Memphis. 30-35 pitches
Yepez will be DHing tonight in Memphis, and will play the field Wednesday night.

Jack Flaherty (shoulder) is making his rehab debut Thursday with Triple-A Memphis.
Flaherty was supposed to take the mound for Memphis on Wednesday night, but the game got rained out and pushed into a doubleheader on Thursday. He'll handle the early tilt to kick off what is likely to be a multi-outing minor league rehab assignment. The 26-year-old right-hander has thrown only eight major league innings this season with St. Louis due to lingering shoulder concerns.

Re: Flaherty and Bader to the IL
Jack Flaherty (shoulder) allowed four runs -- three earned -- over one inning Thursday in his first rehab start with Triple-A Memphis.
Flaherty surrendered four hits -- including a three-run homer -- with no walks while striking out two. He threw 35 pitches. Obviously, it's not the result he was looking for in his first rehab outing. It's not clear where Flaherty was from a velocity standpoint. He isn't eligible for activation for another two weeks and will require at least a couple more rehab starts.

Sigh. More Hudson starts for the time being.
