If that’s what it took to get Castillo, it’s probably going to be a similar price for Montas and I don’t think that’ll make anyone happy… so either go for Soto or get those muddlers.

Oof; 3 of their top 5 prospects for someone I’m “meh” about?Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the Mariners are finalizing a deal to acquire right-hander Luis Castillo from the Reds.
C. Trent Rosencrans of The Athletic adds that Noelvi Marte, Levi Stoudt, Edwin Arroyo and Andrew Moore will be heading to the Reds in the deal. That's three of the Mariners top five prospects according to MLB Pipeline. It's quite the haul of prospects to give up, but gives the Mariners another stud right-hander to place atop their rotation for the next season and a half. Expect the full details to be finalized soon.
