Adding Soto intrigues me slightly more now. Quintana is a guy that could potentially hold his own in a playoff game.

Wainwright
Mikolas
Quintana
That actually seems pretty competent from a rotation perspective for a series.
Move Pallante into BP for high leverage situations if needed in the POs or for an all hands on deck appearance in a 1 game PO.

Is Pallante dependable coming out of the pen since he almost always gets touched in his first inning?
Quintana is a sizeable get considering the schedule for the rest of the year. 3.50 ERA should be competitive for almost all of the games

Hudson seems like a good Suppan candidate in the postseason, who could Houdini himself into 2 or 3 clutch wins.

It's a damn shame that Flaherty can't be Flaherty.

I don't know if he's dependable long term, but pixie dust the Cardinals are using on him is working for this season, at least.AdmiralKird wrote: ↑August 1 22, 8:14 pm

And yeah, Quintana's a very solid middle rotation guy who isn't just an innings eater. He's actually pitching very well this season.
I'm sorry. Bob Nutting is a horrendous owner and it's sad that it's been the case like that for almost 30+ years with the Pirates.
