Who will we see there?

Whose choice is this because obviously it puts the Cardinals at a huge disadvantage.

My friend worked the last London one, and will work this one too, so she says, so if anyone wants a nice cursed Cubs/Cards cap, or any other merch, hit me up.

Isn't it unusual to have overseas games in the middle of the season? IIRC the games in Japan were played at the beginning of the season to minimize jet lag recovery and such.

I don't think London is that big of deal in that regard, vs. Japan. Pretty small difference between a cross-Atlantic flight vs. coast-to-coast within the US.

If I had to guess, it's because the Cardinals are likely to be contending at the time of the trip. Jet lag, trip rigors, etc will affect us because it might change how we use guys around this time. Chicago almost certainly will not be in contention, and all these variables wont make any difference to a team that expects to lose a majority of their games. I wish we could send the Memphis Redbirds..

They probably will have these games with a day off the day before and after the series. But I hope that they at least play an east coast team like Mets or Phillies beforehand to minimize the length of the flight to the game and have another east coast series afteerwards.

I guess it won't be so bad if they bisect the series with road games on the east coast, but you'll need the better part of the day for the two flights, and I'd think the injury risk at Wembley would be high due to it being a super non-standard conversion.
