This is one of those swing games that can really be influential in a season. The Yankees are legit good and that was one of their best arms against our worst starter. Getting swept at home at this point in the race with the Yankees in town was the one thing you couldn't let happen. That's off the table now and it opens up other possibilities.

You know the Brewers and Phillies see this time as a time to gain ground on us with them facing the Nationals and Reds and the Cardinals facing the Yankees.

It felt like a playoff game.

The last time we beat the Yankees 4-3 was October 11, 1964 on Boyer’s slam in the 6th inning of the pivotal Game 4 in the Bronx.
