The Colorado Rockies are 31-28 at home this season and are solid favorites to beat the St. Louis Cardinals who are 26-29 on the road this season. The Rockies have a better than 55% chance of winning based on 10,000 game simulations generated one play at a time by the AccuScore Simulation Supercomputer. Rockies\' starter German Marquez is forecasted to have a better game than Cardinals\' starter Dakota Hudson. German Marquez has a 38% chance of having a Quality Start (QS) while Dakota Hudson has a 28% chance of a QS. If German Marquez has a quality start the Rockies has a 81% chance of winning. His simulated strikeout to walk ratio is 2.4 and he has a 16% chance of having a 5 to 1 K/BB ratio. When he has a 5/1 ratio the Rockies win 57%. In Dakota Hudson quality starts the Cardinals win 75%. He has a 7% chance of having a 5 to 1 K/BB ratio and if he does his team wins 75% of simulations. In simulations we tracked the batter for each team that was most productive based his average hits, walks and RBI per simulation. The most productive batter for the Colorado Rockies is Kris Bryant who averaged 2.89 hits+walks+RBI. He has a 54% chance of having a big game with 3+ Hits, Walks, RBI and if he has a big game the Rockies have a 63% chance of winning. The most productive batter for the St. Louis Cardinals is Paul Goldschmidt who averaged 3.19 hits+walks+RBI. He has a 58% chance of having a big game with 3+ Hits, Walks, RBI and if he has a big game the Cardinals have a 53% chance of winning.

Not gonna lie, I picked up a few rockies to start in the ol' fantasy baseball league today. I think we win 10-8.

Could be. But its upside down world. So I think he somehow gets a quality start; a typical rough start, giving up runs in the 1st, then settling in and getting 6 innings. Its that whole "Hudson almost has too much movement on his pitches". But somehow it works out where his sinker stays right at the bottom of the zone, instead of being an easy take for a low ball.

Don't forget, while the Rockies are a bad baseball team, they are a good home baseball team. And Dakota Hudson is... not good. I'm not going to say it's all ruled out, but after Mikolas got blasted on Tuesday, avoiding the sweep was my primary goal.

I'm concerned: McFarland isn't available to provide 1/3 of an inning of ineffective mop-up duty.
