The St. Louis Cardinals are 38-21 at home this season and are solid favorites to beat the Colorado Rockies who are 18-35 on the road this season. The Cardinals have a better than 55% chance of winning based on 10,000 game simulations generated one play at a time by the AccuScore Simulation Supercomputer. Cardinals\' starter Jordan Montgomery is forecasted to have a better game than Rockies\' starter German Marquez. Jordan Montgomery has a 55% chance of having a Quality Start (QS) while German Marquez has a 41% chance of a QS. If Jordan Montgomery has a quality start the Cardinals has a 79% chance of winning. His simulated strikeout to walk ratio is 4.1 and he has a 39% chance of having a 5 to 1 K/BB ratio. When he has a 5/1 ratio the Cardinals win 70%. In German Marquez quality starts the Rockies win 59%. He has a 20% chance of having a 5 to 1 K/BB ratio and if he does his team wins 59% of simulations. In simulations we tracked the batter for each team that was most productive based his average hits, walks and RBI per simulation. The most productive batter for the St. Louis Cardinals is Paul Goldschmidt who averaged 2.78 hits+walks+RBI. He has a 50% chance of having a big game with 3+ Hits, Walks, RBI and if he has a big game the Cardinals have a 71% chance of winning. The most productive batter for the Colorado Rockies is Kris Bryant who averaged 2.11 hits+walks+RBI. He has a 34% chance of having a big game with 3+ Hits, Walks, RBI and if he has a big game the Rockies have a 54% chance of winning.

I cant fault him for the two lefties at the top as it seems oneil is getting the day off. But good point that he could have put dejong between gorman and Dickerson
If nothing else, at least when they run a lefty out there we can PH with Pujols.

Cardinals activated 1B/OF Juan Yepez from the 10-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Memphis.
Yepez had been sidelined since just before the All-Star break due to a forearm strain. The 24-year-old slugger held his own during his time with the Cardinals, slashing .254/.298/.459 with 11 homers and 27 RBI in 228 plate appearances. He should get another opportunity in St. Louis before the regular season is through.
