I know it's not must win, but it kinda feels like we really need to win this game?

Gotta have that #momentum.

Side note; hashtag is much more convenient than superscript.

The St. Louis Cardinals are 48-25 at home this season and are heavy favorites to beat the Cincinnati Reds who are 27-43 on the road this season. The Cardinals have a better than 60% chance of winning based on 10,000 game simulations generated one play at a time by the AccuScore Simulation Supercomputer. Cardinals\' starter Jack Flaherty is forecasted to have a better game than Reds\' starter Mike Minor. Jack Flaherty has a 48% chance of having a Quality Start (QS) while Mike Minor has a 25% chance of a QS. If Jack Flaherty has a quality start the Cardinals has a 91% chance of winning. His simulated strikeout to walk ratio is 2.5 and he has a 13% chance of having a 5 to 1 K/BB ratio. When he has a 5/1 ratio the Cardinals win 82%. In Mike Minor quality starts the Reds win 50%. He has a 17% chance of having a 5 to 1 K/BB ratio and if he does his team wins 50% of simulations. In simulations we tracked the batter for each team that was most productive based his average hits, walks and RBI per simulation. The most productive batter for the St. Louis Cardinals is Paul Goldschmidt who averaged 3.36 hits+walks+RBI. He has a 60% chance of having a big game with 3+ Hits, Walks, RBI and if he has a big game the Cardinals have a 83% chance of winning. The most productive batter for the Cincinnati Reds is Donovan Solano who averaged 2.17 hits+walks+RBI. He has a 35% chance of having a big game with 3+ Hits, Walks, RBI and if he has a big game the Reds have a 33% chance of winning.

This is a must win. We havent clinched anything. The idea that we can sort rest some key guys, or that Mil is floundering a bit, or that the mindset might not rise to the occasion when facing lower level teams at the tail end of the year, is a slippery slope. Teams like the Reds have some younger players that need impress now before next spring, are reveling in "spoiler mentality". They only benefit from playoff-bound teams not focusing on what's in front of them night after night in September. At this point in the schedule teams like the Cardinals can bury and hinder their division rivals' opportunity to suss out individuals on their squad that might be worth sending to the AFL this winter. Pushing back their evaluations can extend the time it takes for teams like the Reds to restock and reload; especially when Cinci netted a slew of quality prospects very recently that they might want to consider fast-tracking. Vigorously attempting to beat every team down the stretch means you have an edge in the momentum department. And if that happens, we zoom past(and stay past!) the Mets and the Braves in the standings. Then we find ourselves exactly where we want/need to be; in control of our own destinies.

Destroy the Reds
