I'm watching the Pirate first baseman tonight. Definitely better than the Worst First Baseman in the League don't you think?

A little sad albert was ph for with him being just 3(to tie) rbi away from 2nd all time.

I know it’s more important to get end of roster guys abs so we can see who is ready for the playoffs, and there is always another record, but still…

They are saying that the Brewers have to have a game up on the Phillies to make the playoffs because the Phillies won the head to head. I always thought in the past that head to head mattered for seeding and such, but when it comes to making the playoffs or not, there was a 1 game playoff. I know everything is different this year, but is that correct, no 1 game playoff if they end up tied?
Yes, they changed the rules.
Until this season, Major League Baseball relied on extra games when teams were tied for a postseason spot at the end of the regular season.

No more.

In the interest of adding extra wild-card teams to the playoffs for 2022's postseason, the tiebreaker games have been eliminated in favor of a tiebreaker system like the one the NFL uses, and what MLB's relied on recently to determine home-field advantage.

The first tiebreaker is the head-to-head record between the two teams involved. If that doesn't settle things, the team with the best intra-divisional record will win the tiebreaker. If that doesn’t work, the process continues with more and more convoluted solutions until a resolution is reached.

Are you kidding referring to Goldschmidt as the Worst First Baseman in the League?

Yes I am. There was a poster that claimed that very thing based on some new metric.

At some point there is too many metrics. Most of these metrics most people don't even know what they mean.
