Mike Clevinger to the White Sox.
Seems like he's one of the few herky-jerky guys that's managed to stay relevant.

Would've been a good Albert replacement

Listening to Bernie on 590 the other day, Goold said that while there are other catchers to be had in Toronto, Jansen is the fit. Also, apparently Christian Vasquez is known in baseball circles as "Little Yadi", and that his reps had talked with our reps(Moz) in Vegas a few weeks ago.

So we can probably put the whole Kirk-talk to bed..

Oh my god the off season is so boring. I always get into the team at the end of the season just in time to lose interest over winter.

The Dodgers sign Shelby Miller to a one year deal.

Shelby Miller will finish top 5 in Cy Young next year because...the Dodgers...

I really prefer the NHL offseason, when the draft happens, then free agency lasts all of a few hours with a flurry of signings.

We all got excited last year because there was a flurry of moves ahead of the lockout but the soulless goblins have returned

Listening to 101 this morning on my drive in. They briefly mentioned that Moz was speaking to someone (I'm forgetting who, maybe Goold or someone at the Athletic) and said something to the effect of:
"Edman is a really good SS. We really like him there." To which, Randy Karraker was like "yeah, we can put to bed any dreams about upgrading at SS this year."

I mean, Edman really did just post like a 6 WAR season. That may well be a career peak, but cost-controlled 4-5 WAR shortstops are wildly valuable. An Edman at short, Donovan/Gorman second base platoon is a super good middle infield.
