What would the internet have said about the Bob Horner signing in 1988?Perhaps the reason he's not clearing things up is because there's nothing to clarify. Or maybe he thinks it's ridiculous that fans are even making an issue of it. It's really nothing.
This isn't 1985. Everyone has a voice, via the internet. Let's not pretend that he's been silenced.

He's worked for the Rangers before and lives in the Dallas area, so it might be a good fit: https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/range ... -with-new/CardsofSTL wrote: ↑November 22 22, 9:22 pmOdd if trueBig Amoco Sign wrote: ↑November 22 22, 6:59 pmRangers talking to Maddux about pitching coach position.

Yes. Just seems odd if you believe that he requested to slow down from the pace of being a full time coach.sighyoung wrote: ↑November 22 22, 10:05 pmHe's worked for the Rangers before and lives in the Dallas area, so it might be a good fit: https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/range ... -with-new/CardsofSTL wrote: ↑November 22 22, 9:22 pmOdd if trueBig Amoco Sign wrote: ↑November 22 22, 6:59 pmRangers talking to Maddux about pitching coach position.

And now he's the pitching coach for the Rangers. Full time.CardsofSTL wrote: ↑November 22 22, 10:07 pm

Never believe Mo's word. Always go to the source. Two coaches making lateral moves to leave the Cardinals.

Never believe Mo's word. Always go to the source. Lots of coaches comfortably leaving the Cardinals. Doesn’t bode well for this FO.
Mike Matheny may get a job with Texas soon though.

It may be a simple as Maddux gets to sleep in his own bed and be around his family for an extra 81 days during the season.

Which part of Mo's statement with regard to Maddux was untrue, or critical?Big Amoco Sign wrote: ↑November 23 22, 11:17 amAnd now he's the pitching coach for the Rangers. Full time.CardsofSTL wrote: ↑November 22 22, 10:07 pm

What do you mean? I just said never believe Mo's word. (Albert went to a city with fans who are more critical than Cardinals'; Maddux took a full time gig--Mo wasn't exactly verbalizing the full message).Socnorb11 wrote: ↑November 23 22, 2:04 pmWhich part of Mo's statement with regard to Maddux was untrue, or critical?Big Amoco Sign wrote: ↑November 23 22, 11:17 amAnd now he's the pitching coach for the Rangers.
