Maybe there's insider info that the A's really wanted Fermin, and had ZERO cash to pay for him. Book it, he's the keystone to getting us Murphy.

Do you know the way to trade Jose?

Was wondering if he was a relative of Indians great Felix Fermin. At one point right before the Indians reached their success in the 90's, the Indians were the only team without a $1M player on the payroll and Felix Fermin was the highest paid player - the newspaper used to publish ever players salary once a year and I loved looking through the numbers. He was later traded for Omar Vizquel - hopefully the Cards "cash" doesn't turn into a gold glover.

Felix Fermin had a career .303 slugging percentage. That's impressive!
