Goldy had 22 first place votes. Manny finished second with 7 and Arenado had 1.

Well deserved. What a great season. He won my fantasy team, Fozzie Smith, the championship, which is pretty much on par with a World Series win.

How more seasons similar to this one does he need to have a legit shot at the HoF? 2-3 more?
Kinda surprised Arenado didn't sneak in and take it tbh.

He's at 58.5 bWAR and 54.0 fWAR so for a legit shot, he basically just needs to age semi gracefully. If he played four more years at 4-3-2-1 WAR he'd be in solid shape. To be guaranteed to make it, yeah, if he got to 70 WAR he'd pretty much be assured to get in I'd think.Felix The Cat wrote: ↑November 17 22, 6:02 pmHow more seasons similar to this one does he need to have a legit shot at the HoF? 2-3 more?

Helton, McGwire, Palmeiro and Hernandez are the only 1B guys ahead of him in career bWAR not in the Hall, and Todd probably makes it eventually. Of course Mac and Palmeiro have their steroids to deal with and Hernandez was more of a defensive dynamo. I guess you have Votto, who probably deserves it but will be an interesting test case when he comes up to vote.

That's some pretty elite company there. Looking forward to watching Goldy do it again next year.
