Beltre should be first ballot.

I'm curious about Utley, especially in light of Jeff Kent's failure to make a lot of headway.

Those eligibility gap years just go faster and faster.

I think Beltre will get in, right? Safeco isn’t kind to anyone, if he played ages 26 to 30 in just about any other ballpark. It wouldn’t even be a question.

Beltre is a no-doubter.

Do you have a good relationship with your father? Me neither.

Utley is pretty similar to Rolen in a lot of ways. Good hitter, phenomenal fielder, missed time with injuries, no MVPs (although Rolen got closer), one title. There's some line, which might simply be something like 70 WAR, between Edmonds and Rolen/Walker and he's probably on the wrong side of it.

Beltre is top-40 all time in WAR at 93. You have to go all the way to #85, Lou Whitaker, with 75 career WAR to find a non-scandal, eligible player from the modern era who isn't in the hall unless I missed someone.

Helton jumped up from 52.0% to 72.2% this year so he seems to be trending towards getting elected next year.

Found this game where he makes his first start at QB and beats Georgia with Manning pacing the sidelines. At about the 30 minute mark he keeps an option for the first down and then fakes out the camera man and everyone else with a play action bomb.

Beltre would get my vote for sure from the newcomers.

What in the name of David Wright is that? He's been out of baseball five years? I remember when he was The Next Big Thing. I old.

Joe Mauer will get some votes but don't expect him to get in right away.

Utley's vote total will be interesting to watch.

My brain says Holliday won't be a one and done but not sure he'd ever get enough votes for enshrinement.

I bet if he let's the voters run their hands through his hair, it will be unanimous.
