Gaylord Perry RIP.

HoFer and spitball extraordinaire. Won 20 games five times and a Cy Young in both leagues. Also threw a no-hitter against the Cardinals in 1968.

It always struck me as hilarious that in baseball, there is a right way to cheat that is lovable and quirky, and a wrong way to cheat that is evil etc.

Especially considering the reason the lovable and quirky way was banned in the first place was because it killed a player.
