Molina was such a beast back then. Threw Guillen out at 2nd from his knees on a slow delivery from Kinney. [expletive] beast.

We should schedule some gdt rewatches of these old games.

Gussie was the reason the Cardinals aren't called the Milwaukee Cardinals or whatever.

TLR helped put the Cardinals back on the map and the team owes him for this current run of success.

Hornsby supposedly was a klansman but was one of the greatest players that ever lived.

You're heading down a slippery slope if you're gonna start removing people for what they've done outside of the game.

Been rewatching a ton of old (2004-2006) playoff games. Watching game 4 of the 06 we now. Absolutely crazy how many times bonderman shook off pudge.

I just watched the Jim Hayes interview that aired tonight, and the hat question came up. He said that he would take the Hall's recommendation into account, and that he wasn't really interested in a blank hat. I think that means it has to be either Phillies or Cardinals, which would presumably give a big edge to the Cardinals.

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum announced Friday that Scott Rolen’s Cooperstown plaque will feature a Cardinals cap and Fred McGriff’s plaque will feature no team’s logo.

Rolen and McGriff will be formally inducted into the Hall of Fame on July 23 in Cooperstown, N.Y. Each player’s plaque will be revealed immediately prior to each electee’s induction speech on that day.

Rolen will become the 12th player to don a Cardinals cap on their Hall of Fame plaque. He played six of his 17 MLB seasons in St. Louis, winning three Gold Gloves and earning four All-Star selections while there. Rolen also captured his only World Series ring with the 2006 Cards.

“After reflecting on my 17-year career, and conferring with the Hall of Fame, I have decided on a Cardinals logo for my Hall of Fame plaque,” said Rolen, who was elected to the Hall on Jan. 24 by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America. “I believe this decision accurately represents a pivotal portion of my career based on our teams’ successes in St. Louis.”
