I really want Winn AND Gorman on the team. Surely we could dfa someone, yes?ghostrunner wrote: ↑March 20 23, 8:12 amI really want Winn on the team. Trade Gorman, put Edman at 2nd, and let Donovan do his utility thing.

Fermin is injured. I would guess they either keep Motter or carry Burleson.

Another way to look at it is he beat his FIP for the first 200+ innings in the majors by a run and a half and we had to read all these blog posts and articles about how he gets ground balls and has some unique talent for inducing double plays which is all great until it isn't.Joe Shlabotnik wrote: ↑March 21 23, 1:06 pmWonder if that's it for Hudson. He's been steadily getting less effective.

Organizational depth at this point. But wouldn't be shocking to see him non-tendered next year.Joe Shlabotnik wrote: ↑March 21 23, 1:06 pmWonder if that's it for Hudson. He's been steadily getting less effective.

Only a year late on giving up on him but I'll take it.
Hudson had a tremendous amount of luck and it's alarming that the fans notice it far sooner than FO.

Re: Opening Day 26-man Roster
Burleson makes sense. Donovan can cover backup SS. Motter would have to take the roster spot basically reserved for Walker. But IL makes some room too.
I know Winn needs more seasoning. But this mini crunch is why he’s so needed on this team. He’s basically Edman 2B value as a floor at SS. The shift ban makes me want at least one guy who can fully handle SS defensively. Edman can just fine (weak arm though) but Winn really rounds out the team.

Looks like Wainwright going to start the season on the IL with a groin strain. Same thing with Rodriguez to push of the Rule 5 decision.
