I posted about a base running play he made at Fenway also interrupting a double play by staying tall in the shortstop's eyeline. Apparently someone asked about Donnie after the game and he gave a lot of credit to Stubby Clapp saying he explicitly told him to do that, so coaching staff deserves some kudos here too probably.AWvsCBsteeeerike3 wrote: ↑May 18 23, 8:43 amNot sure how common it is, but that was really heads up baserunning by Donovan. And, the only sense in which it is 'questionable' is rather it was elite or just good.
The commentator even acknowledges as much when he says they should have just drilled Donovan for doing it knowing full well it wouldn't have been an out but would have made him think twice about doing it again.
Also, lol at complaining they brought up LIberatore.
