Finally got a look at a box score. Miles throwing 7 scoreless with 5ks and no walks.

And some here are ready to jump off a ledge.

You didn’t sit thru the first 7 innings thus lacking the needed perspective.

Also, we all (meaning baseball fans in general) tend to be obnoxiously dramatic about every inning, let alone every game lol.

They're playing [expletive]. thankfully they're playing another [expletive] team.

But Mikolas deserves some praise in this bandbox.

Oh, no question, they have been awful today on offense. My statement was more just us in general, as fans, tend to always get dramatic about individual game performances, especially when it's as ugly as it was today. It's not really unique to this board. Go to to the Braves or Dodgers reddit, it's the same thing.

He's a fairly generic reliever. He has outing where he just looks great when his command is on. Other games he can't locate, pulls his fastball arm-side, and his breaking pitches flatten out and he gets whacked.

Yeah, he was especially awful last year (6.53 FIP), this year he's been effective (2.68 FIP) as far as results, but he's just so unimpressive.

I haven't watched, and can't actually, but this doesn't seem like the kind of game you can complain about much. (I know, it'a game thread). Bats have to go cold once in a while, just glad we're getting a good pitching performance at the same time.

I think the fact our 3 best hitters (By reputation) sat out and it was Luke Weaver added to the frustration (I know it did for me).
