Too many sliders. Lost feel for it and they started laying off it. Really need to win the next two, but I’m not confident.

I had it on the Guardians feed, and their commentators are way more "back in my day, we didn't have any of these fancy statistics and we loved it!" while chatting to some guy who played for them in the heady far-off days of the late 80s.

Did the Indians have a heyday in the late 80's? Looking... yeah - all of the 80's were seasons of suckitude. Nothing better than 4th of 7. 1986 was their one winning season of the 80's and even then they finished 5th in their division. So I guess 1986 could be considered the 'heady' days of all the 80's.Famous Mortimer wrote: ↑May 27 23, 11:29 amI had it on the Guardians feed, and their commentators are way more "back in my day, we didn't have any of these fancy statistics and we loved it!" while chatting to some guy who played for them in the heady far-off days of the late 80s.
Having said that - was it Joe Carter or Julio Franco?

There was probably a three-game winning streak back in 1987. Good times!Joe Shlabotnik wrote: ↑May 27 23, 1:26 pmDid the Indians have a heyday in the late 80's? Neither, but I can't remember who it actually was. My comment was more about there being plenty of advanced stats in the 80s... And Cleveland being [expletive], while also apparently eschewing stats, might have been linked.
