Helsley was absolutely awful. I watched every pitch. That was deflating to have happen.
You can’t walk Straw and Kwan. They aren’t the ones to fear. Ramirez is.

It's like Helsley either is afraid to throw the ball over the plate or doesn't know where his pitches are going.

I think it was BAS talking about the franchise pitch to contact philosophy and how everyone should be fired, but when I watch the games (especially with Knizner catching) they just nibble, [expletive] around get deep into counts and walk hitters instead of attacking them. Somewhat understandable with the starters who don't really have the stuff for that and maybe when you get into the pen those guys don't have command of their stuff, but there's nothing more infuriating than free passes and putting runners in scoring position. Throwing strikes is easier said than done but by all means fill up the zone to everyone EXCEPT Jose Ramirez.
