It would actually be pretty cool if it was the Oakland A's. All this proves is that the owner pulled a Kroenke and intentionally tanked every year. He should be forced to sell the team.

Fedde's value keeps rising. Matz has zero (or negative) value. Yes 12.5M is below market for a starter, but Matz hasn't performed as a starter. He has averaged 11 starts over the last 3 seasons and hasn't performed particularly well in those starts. He's still a strong negative asset.
