About the The Swing of the Quad Cities:
The Swing of the Quad Cities - Midwest League affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals - play in the newly renovated John O'Donnell Stadium, one of the most scenic ballparks in the country that sits on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River. Such major league stars as Johan Santana, Joe Mauer, Billy Wagner, and hall-of-famer Jim Bunning claim "JOD" as their old stomping grounds, adding to a rich tradition of professional baseball in the area that dates back to the late 19th century. After setting five new franchise records offensively during the 2005 season en-route to a playoff berth, the Swing expect only bigger and better things in 2006 as they continue their relationship with the St. Louis Cardinals. If you are a fan of great Midwestern baseball and good old fashioned family fun, then come on down to John O'Donnell Stadium - you will fit right in! And feel free to check out the Swing of the Quad Cities at http://www.swingbaseball.com.

This should be a good one. He's a big time prospect for the Cards.

Bryan,

Thanks for answering our questions. Is there one player in the major leagues right now that best represents the type of player you think you can become?

Also, since Yadier Molina is in front of you in St. Louis has the organization ever talked about getting you some experience at another position? Keep up the great work so far!

Hey Bryan!

1) What is the toughest pitcher you've had to face?

2) What is the toughest aspect to playing catcher?

What is the one part of your game that you think you need to improve upon in order to become a successful major leaguer?

Hello Bryan!

How tough a decision was it to make between turning pro and going to college?

Jessica Simpson or Jessica Alba- Just so ya know, Rasmus picked Alba :)

What is your mental approach to hitting for power? Do you only try to hit for power in certain counts? Certain game situations? All the time?

Conversely, do you swing hard enough to hit a home run every time you swing at a pitch? (I'm not talking about intent, but simply bat speed.)

Thanks for your insight. Keep up the good work!

Bryan-
Thanks so much for spending time in educating us fans.

How much time do you spend with the pitching staff going over a gameplan on how to pitch the individual hitters? Is there adequate scouting, video or stats to formulate an accurate approach?

Also have you ever called your own pitches? Or in high school and now is everything coming from the bench? If most of the pitches are coming from the bench, are you getting the hang of what pitches are called in certain situations?

Thanks.

Hi Bryan - Thanks for taking our questions.

Catchers are held to a very high standard by the coaching staff in St. Louis in terms of defense and how they handle the pitching staff. How are your minor league coaches preparing you for that?
