Results for April 8th

Post by New Pagodi »

Memphis closed their series with Oklahoma with a 4-1 win. Matt Ginter gave up 1 run (unearned) over 6 innings. Falkenborg got a save by striking out the side. John Rodriguez was 2 for 3 with an rbi. Nick Stavinoha was 1 for 3 but the hit was a 3 run homer. Box Log

Springfield opened a 3 game series with the Frisco RoughRiders with a 4-1 loss. Mitch Boggs gave up 3 runs over 5 innings. Jon Jay was 2 for 4. I’m so glad we ran Randy Roth off so that Reid Gorecki (.091), Juan Richardson (.167), and Rico Washington (.083) could provide veteran leadership and experience for this young team. Box Log

The Florida State and Midwest leagues were off with travel days.

Thanks for doing these!

Good stuff.

How sad is it that the first thing I check in the AAA box score is what Ankiel did?

I thought Hawk was supposed to start today. Does this mean he is starting vs Pitt on Tues? I haven't read baseball talk yet, so I'm sure I'll find the answer in there.

Hawk was susposed to start today 4/9. If he doesnt then he should be called up for tuesday. Its good to see Ankiel get out of his funk with a hit.
