I keep seeing him called 19 in reports/articles, but he's not yet? born 5/10/2000, so he's 18; won't turn 19 for another month

anyways...moved up a level and is off to this start...

AB - 21
H - 10
R - 8
TB - 21
2B - 3
3b - 1
HR - 2
RBI - 8
BB - 2
SO - 6

line is 476/542/1000; so, that's an OPS of 1.542

and again...he's 18...in class A ball

Are they considering this his age-19 season?

I would consider it his age 19 season, as a whole

I'm just referring to articles where I've seen writers saying they're amazed a 19 year old is doing this and that...but he's not 19 for another month

semantics, I know...but just to point out he is STILL only 18, makes it even more amazing how good he is

nice tidbit in that article as well, about 20 year old prospect Carlson that's already in AA Springfield...
Carlson had a three-hit game Saturday with three RBIs. In the S-Cards' first five games, he's hitting .368/.391/.737 with a homer and three extra-base hits.

Is this the [expletive] Carlson thread or the Gorman thread? Right...Gorman. Get your facts straight tx!

This jumped out at me:
In his first 68 games in the minors, Gorman has hit .306/.393/.605 with 52 RBIs. He has 82 strikeouts and 79 hits in 258 at-bats.
That projects out to 45 HRs and 193 Ks in 160 games. I'm not a fan of Ks, but I'll make an exception for a ~1.000 OPS with over 40 bombs. He'd be slightly better than Chris Davis (in his prime, 3rd place MVP) numbers w/r/t Ks (199), but slightly less on OPS (1.004) and a decent amount lower on HRs (53).
