A steady guy on the ice, a classy one off the ice. Thanks for giving us one of the great moments in Blues history. Glad you got your name on the Cup before your nice career ended.JCShutout wrote: ↑June 23 21, 11:22 amStarts sad. Boom Boom hangs em up.

Does anyone else think it makes a lot of sense to leave Tarasenko unprotected in the expansion draft? With his injury issues in combination with his decent sized contract those things might be enough to prevent the Kraken from drafting him. And if they do draft him it'll do the Blues a favor by taking a big contract off of their hands. But then if Tarasenko has a no trade clause then they have to protect him and this post is a moot point.

A couple of months ago I would have said they should absolutely protect tank. (Unless they were convinced he would never be a premier scorer again), but given that tank has apparently released a list of teams he is willing to be traded to, I’m not sure it hurts to expose him right now. (It’s not like he would be blindsided) As you said, if he is taken, we can spend on a scoring line winger in free agency, and it allows us to protect more kids. I COULD see Seattle taking him. Only a 2 year risk. Name player. You never know.
He has a no trade, so he can be exposed. Only players with no movement clauses can’t be exposed.
Half a year ago I was begging the blues to resign Schwartz to Schenn’s deal, now I’d LOVE to have Schwartz back, but only at Perron money. (Not happening) I could see a lot of shakeup this year and next in the forward lines. I’d love to see the blues sign a couple big, tough, net-clearing Dmen. Maybe a #4 talent if the price is right, and a bottom-pairing, #6-7 type guy. There SHOULD be plenty of those guys out there, so im confident the blues can fit at least one in the budget. (Again, I’d prefer two-im assuming Dunn leaves)

Whoa. Well that kinda screws Army. Now teams know he wants out and won't offer as much.

That’s really sad. I’m just a casual fan but 2019 was pure magic, and a big part of my last year of great memories with my dad. I’ll miss Tarasenko.

It's a shame to see Tank want to leave, but it makes sense.
He's accomplished everything he's going to do in St. Louis. And the team has obviously moved on from him as the cornerstone of the franchise. I'll miss his bus.
