im not much of a golf person to start a new thread but a weird scene this morning where Scottie Scheffler was detained by police as he was arriving for tee time at PGA championship. it seems a whole big mess
Yeah a 2nd degree felony? (Plus other misdemeanors)
Scottie is too nice of a guy, but if it were me I wouldn’t stop till everyone involved is embarrassed, disciplined and/or fired.
He was following the normal instructions they had given him to enter, but due to the fatality accident they had diff officers there on scene, so there was confusion and they took it WAY too far.

The charge is he assaulted an officer. If true(big if!), I don't have a problem with it. If it's something like the car brushed against the cop while he tried to drive around the accident, yeah, get a life.
A professional golf tournament really does feel like the perfect place for a climate protest. A trivial game of pointless skill dumping billions of gallons of water into deserts everywhere for rich people.
I don’t have big issues with golf, except for when I’m playing it. But you can translate all other sports into practical physical skills much, much easier. And the toll on climate is right there in the shots from the blimp.
It's striking to see the difference in 89-year-old Gary Player (same age as my mother when her body gave up) and 85-year-old Jack Nicklaus. It's a testament to what it takes to live long and healthy. Maybe some genetics there too?
Anyway, I always love to watch the Masters. They run that tournament with such class and the beauty of the place is unrivaled in golf. Hope you enjoy it too.

Thanks for the link (no pun intended)
And you're right on Gary Player. He's in incredible shape, and I was amazed at his leg kick as he walked off.
