I have heard people are in outrage mode over the opening ceremonies. I don't think I have watched the Olympics since I was in grade school.

I don’t watch them either, but caught a few clips and it was friggin’ weird. And that’s not even including the guy w/ his balls hanging out standing behind a kid.

Now that you can see everything, I just love watching people at the top of their craft going about it. You no longer miss a chance to see a little badminton and sailing to watch a 15 minute sob package on how a US alternate gymnasts' cousin had benign skin cancer three years ago.

Plus, I'm only 28 years older the female skateboarding gold medalist, so I can still dream of glory.

I went to school in Hawaii. Was never more than a casual long boarder but was surrounded by hardcore surfers. I was well aware of Teahupo. We were always watching surfing DVDs.

The surfing has been great.

It wasn’t his balls, it was a tear in his tights that looks weird on a freeze frame and a lot of conservative social media accounts freaked out over it.

Well there was drag queen cannibal Jesus and a devil’s threesome. My guess is they’re happy to go at Helen Lovejoy’s throat. I don’t really care too much in any way. It will be easy to top with something a bit more universal and coherent in LA.

I'm loving the olympics. Excellent antidote to the cynicism, clickbait, bad faith, and disingenuousness of the election and coverage and American discourse. Im sure twitter has found all sorts of battles to wage in the culture wars with all of it, but I’m just watching these experts do their thing just to do their thing as well as it can be done.

Table tennis has been awesome. Mens BMX was ridiculous. The gymnastics was really tense and enjoyable. I tried to watch spaceship windsurfing. Handball is kind of stupid. Field hockey is pretty cool. Trampoline is weird as hell. Its been great.

We've been really enjoying watching the Olympics. I love the 3x3 basketball. It's been cool watching Simone Biles be awesome and it was crazy how Katie Ledecky dominated her event.

Oh man. Badminton is amazing AND it’s called by Angela Lansbury. Awesome.

I’m just really upset I cant find a Truls Möregährd jersey anywhere online.

Enjoying the hell out of the Olympic games. But, did you all see the pole vaulter that knocked the bar over with his massive schlong? Has anyone ever been less upset with a loss than him?
