Re: Blues Off-season and 2024-25 Season
I’m pretty excited about this year. I have about the same expectations as last year. If things go well, could sneak into a playoff spot. Probably on the outside.
Excited to see the kids grow though. I like that we have a good mix of kids and vets so we can hopefully put kids in situations to succeed. I just hope we don’t have so many vets that someone who needs nhl development is in the minors. I wonder if we see some trades just to give kids opportunities. If not this year, when some ntcs become partial ntcs.
Really excited to give broberg a chance to grow. Makes the blues young d look a lot better.
I know there isn’t a likely elite forward or defenseman in our prospect system, but we do have Thomas and kyrou, and then what looks like just a ton of really solid depth. You can win with good depth. You can also trade it for elite talent. (Hi 2019!!!)
I’d like us to make the playoffs because I know the ownership group makes a profit if we do, but all I want is for the kids to make strides. Should be fun to watch!

This seems to indicate that Saad is out to start the season. I would think he'd be on the second line if healthy.
