In fact, the NFL has mandated to Majestic that its stadium allow for two NFL teams. Taylor Talt, Project Manager for LA Stadium, referenced this ongoing communication with the NFL in our discussions. “The NFL has mandated that our plans include the necessary requirements for two teams but our focus in on securing the first team,” he said.

Sounds to me like the NFL is ok moving just one team to LA, but wants the option of moving a second team there should Minnesota, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Jacksonville etc not work out. Or if they were looking to add new franchises. I'm not reading that as there has to be two teams to open the stadium, just that the stadium has to accommodate two.

This is a copy of the proposal -- with renderings and details -- presented to the Rams by the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission with its plan for a $124 million overhaul of the 16-year-old Edward Jones Dome.

I am so glad the Rams are gone. St. Louis doesn't have to deal with this mess:

This sounds promising too.

St. Louis targeting more than $1B in NFL owners' shares of Rams relocation fee
Though the NFL publicly dismissed the suit, it has become a worrisome headache for the league and its owners as St. Louis lawyers have kept it from going to arbitration, according to the report.

But so far, the St. Louis plaintiffs have quietly won every court motion and decision, including a devastating defeat in the Eastern District of the Missouri State Court of Appeals, in a St. Louis courthouse, on June 12, 2018. The Rams' lawyer, Andrew Kassof, argued for the lawsuit to be sent to arbitration, corporate America's venue of choice. Kassof's argument hinged on what he saw as a clear and simple technicality: The NFL relocation policy was moot because the Rams had the right to relocate whenever they wanted, due to their year-to-year lease in St. Louis' then-Edward Jones Dome. The lease had expired in 2016, Kassof argued, so the Rams were free to leave. Judge Philip Hess sounded suspicious. "Do the Rams have the ability to move without the NFL's approval?" he said.
"No," Kassof said. "They need the NFL's approval, and ..."
Hess cut him off. "Isn't that what this is about? The relocation policy of the NFL?"
I'm not a lawyer, and as a St. Louisan I feel beat down vs larger powers - such as the NFL.

But seems like if the NFL wants arbitration, then that means St. Louis is dealing from strength here, and regardless - the NFL will have to give us a little bit of their many piles of money.

This is another pretty good article. Not typically stuff I'd keep reading.

Some of the richest old white guys on earth having a cat fight, and squandering part of their fortune made on the concussions, broken bodies of players etc etc.

Netflix or whatever could make a kick-ass dramatization series on the NFL owners and Goodell etc. All these crazy-ass rich characters played by great older actors - James Caan as Spanos. Robert Duvall etc etc. They could go back to Georgia Frontiere days. It would be a [expletive] hoot.
