I give them an A+. The NFL product is awful, and yet they sell the hell out of it year round. Hats off to their marketing department for that.Socnorb11 wrote:I understand, Jim. I love the MLB draft as well. Nobody (at least nobody that I know of) is having draft parties for the MLB draft, though. As I said, like it or not, you've got to hand it to the NFL for the way they market their product.jim wrote:The MLB draft is taking high school kids that nobody has ever seen, or college kids that almost nobody has ever seen. I personally am so sick and tired of it. Every day at the health club when I'm shaving they have had it on for like two weeks. I have always hated football people, their attitudes and bizarre way of using the english language, and guys like Ron Jaworski just about want to make me vomit after listening to him for this long.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft
I liked the Robinson pick, as I don't want to see Bradford turn into Bulger part 2.
I did not like the Donald pick, as I thought they should have gone for a safety/cornerback/bolstered their secondary (which still resembles burnt toast).
But then they took Joyner, which should help, so that made the Donald pick a little better.
Hopefully Mason can be a nice tandem to Stacy.
I've heard Gaines could be good.
IMO, any pick in the 5th or later is a lottery ticket, although Sam could be a steal if his college numbers even halfway translate to the NFL.

He's a workaholic and a mauler. Worse case scenario is he is an all-pro guard.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft
I would've thought he'd be better than what he's been so far (which is to say that he'd actually see the field), but I'm not going to write a guy off after four games either. Brian Quick is one of about three Rams players who hasn't disappointed this season, and it took him three years to finally get it.

I was wondering the same thing. They're running a Tre out there, just not a Mason.

Didn't see those but I did see him get treated like a revolving door in Minny.MrCrowesGarden wrote:The last 2 holding calls on him have been phantom.

I missed last week, but I heard it wasn't very good. He got jobbed on two of his three holding calls today though. The first one he pushed a guy he was facing to the ground, and the second he never touched him.lukethedrifter wrote:Didn't see those but I did see him get treated like a revolving door in Minny.MrCrowesGarden wrote:The last 2 holding calls on him have been phantom.
