ha yeah i've thought often this has become something like that. partially, at least for me, is i haven't actually watched wrestling since like...'03 but i have nostalgia for the old timers...plus so many seem to die young.
the old timers have wild stories to tell in the territory days.

I was thinking the same thing. There are probably a lot of interesting things going on in the world of wrestling.
you know what, i dont think there's anything interesting going on these days
A week or so ago I met up with some friends and they were watching a women's Royal Rumble and I have to admit, it was entertaining as anything I've seen in awhile. Sure, it was gimmicky but it was one of the most fun events that I've watched in awhile since none of us were taking it seriously. Would watch again.
For those of you still following, WWE had another massive round of releases tonight, mostly from NXT, and I have to wonder what it holds for the future of the show.
Apparently CM Punk is coming to All Elite. They have Christian, they have Jericho, they have Cody Rhodes...and it's working. I absolutely have Wednesday night on TNT circled on my calendar as the first wrestling show I'll watch in years (since CM Punk left WWE). They're run by a millennial mark with the same sensibilities as me (Tony Khan).
It really seems way more fun than WWE, so I'm hoping it sucks me back in a little? We'll see.
i'll listen to some free clips that figure 4 wrestling put up on their youtube 'cause i like bryan alvarez, vinny and craig so im still sorta "in the know" of how the wrestling business is going even though i haven't actually watched wrestling since like, 2004. i'm glad AEW is being successful or at least competing with the mcmahons. what a terrible family they are. and if what F4W says is accurate, seems like wwe is mostly a dumpster fire, back stage and on camera.
