Re: 2018-2019 College Basketball
I just wish Iowa State hadn't gone through such a slump and fell all the way down to a sixth seed. With the way they had been playing the couple of weeks leading up to the conference tournament (2-6 in their final 8 games), I wasn't even sure if they were in without winning the automatic bid but thankfully they managed to beat two four seeds (Kansas and Kansas State) plus another tournament team (Baylor) to get in.
When Iowa State is on, they're great but when they aren't... they are just bad.

I just realized that we should have set up an NCAA bracket group for GRB.
I wasn't even going to enter any pools but ended up doing so at the last minute today. I'm not going to do well but I guess it is only $10.

Not as bad as I would have. I've got the Minnesota/Louisville game on my tablet next to my monitors at work and of course Minnesota is starting to pull away. I did not pick Minnesota even though I really thought about it. It's still the first half though.Freed Roger wrote:I would have lost.tlombard wrote:I just realized that we should have set up an NCAA bracket group for GRB.

The infamous 5-12 games crushed me more than normal this year. My 12 seed winning was NM State. Who lost. The other three 12 seeds won. All four wrong. FML.

Question:
Who are players that lost to Arkansas in the tournament in 1994?
Who are players who lost in the 2nd round to a Yogi Ferrell-led Indiana in 2015?
Hint: They were on the team with the record for most lottery picks in a single draft. Question:
Who are players who lost to a Da'Sean Butler-led West Virginia in the Elite 8 in 2011?
Hint: They were on the team with the record for most first-round picks in a single draft. Those are probably the two best college teams assembled in the modern era. Absolute masterpieces of recruiting. Both those teams in both those years probably could beat a couple of the worst NBA teams. This year's Duke team is right up there with them.
