The Bus Has Left the Building. John Madden RIP.

It will be missed. I grew up a Raiders fan and that meant the youngest coach in the NFL working on his legend. Godspeed young man.

Just a kind guy, who loved football. Some people you just wish would be around forever. He was one.

I stopped being a Steelers fan when Dan Fouts and the Chargers destroyed them once in the playoffs. Needing a team, I starting paying attention to the Raiders. We got home from visiting Grandma and Grandpa one day just in time to see the Raiders knocking a fumble towards the end zone like we used to practice. I became a fan. Not much longer they won a Super Bowl with John coaching. That was from then on my team. I doubt he had anything to do with the video games, but man we spent a lot of hours with them. Then when he and Pat announced football games, it was always the biggest ones.

He kind of spanned generations, and did well in all of them.

Sad day for the Silver and Black.

The guy won a Super Bowl and has the best winning percentage of any coach with at least 100 games, and coach is like the third-most thing he's going to be remembered for.
