2022-23 NBA Season

Post by MrCrowesGarden »

I bought the one-team NBA League Pass for the first time this season so I could follow my Pelicans, and if Game 1 is any indication, they're gonna be a problem in the West. Absolute drubbing of a short-handed but still good Nets team. KD got his, but Kyrie and especially Simmons were put in a box. It was awesome to see Zion smiling all over the place. As one writer I follow put it, they won the battle of everything you can control. Dominated the paint. Contested shots. Committed fewer turnovers. There are going to be nights where shots just don't fall, but rebounding, defense, and effort are all things you can take control of, and if you do them every night, you have much less variance in your ultimate performance.

I always liked Simmons, but he is a box unto himself.

Ain't that the truth. He looked absolutely awful.

My favorite genre of tweet right now is Lakers fans thinking they're getting Wembanyama

The best possible scenario is them getting the #1 pick with long lottery odds and then LeBron forcing them to trade down to acquire some soon to be toasted vet like Bradley Beal and then draft Bronnie.

Then that #1 pick would go to the Pelicans who hold swap rights

Shaedon Sharpe has played six games since high school. All for the Blazers in the last couple weeks. Pretty wild how comfortable he looks out there. Mouth watering promise, which means; have you ever seen an NBA player’s leg fly all the way off? It’s going to happen: we are the Trail Blazers.

So... Kyrie Irving is a disaster.
