Blues Off-season and 2024-25 Season
Just announced that Steen will be stepping up into GM role in a year or so and Army will be POHO.
I'll post the tweet soon. But I think I like this.

With the #16 pick, Blues take a 6'2" 168lb D man. Had a knee injury this year which caused him to fall in the rankings. Probably would have been a top 10 pick if healthy.
This writer thinks he has really good potential after he fills out. Probably at least a 3 year development project. If not longer.

Seems like a bit of a risk but a high ceiling. I don’t know crap about prospects, but we need rd depth.
I’ll bet we draft at least a couple more rd in our 5 picks in rounds 2-4.
Also a trade!
Seems like a solid middle six with potential upside. Reasonable salary even for last year’s production. Another short deal, reinforcing my belief that we see our window starting 2-3 years out.
Contracts (aside from league minimums) up after 25-26: saad, Hayes, sunny, texier, leddy. That’s a lot of salary and playing time.
Krug, Faulk and Binner the next year.
Barring trades of course.

DA- I don’t see us using a draft pick to unload a contract
DA- Uses a 2nd!! round draft pick to unload Hayes
But we can’t do that for Krug?!?!??!!

What? Hayes AND a 2nd for basically nothing?! At 29 points, was he overpaid? Yes. But he only had 2 years left at under $3.6m, and unless we move a dman, we aren’t legit contenders in those two years anyways, and he’s good enough as a middle six guy. (Which we admittedly have a lot of, but still)
Unless I’m missing something, (and I’m sure I am), awful move.
I mean, sure, Hayes and a 4th or later for “future considerations”? Sure. Maybe they want to make space on the roster. But a 2nd? You got Backes in the second. And Barbie. And Perunovich. Also Kyrou. Vince Dunn. Edmundson. Jake Allen.
A second?!?!
And dang had they just resigned ROR, lol sigh.
