Question about who to drop, pickup, etc

Post by JCShutout »

Not in the GRB league.

Someone dropped CJ Spiller (I have the 3rd waiver priority), and Vick is out there as a FA (I grabbed him for last week then dropped him after both my QBs matched or bettered Vick).

Should I grab none, one or both? Here is my team (12 team league):

QB (1): Cutler, McNabb
WR (3): AJohnson, Wayne, Welker, Clayton, Manningham
RB (2): Peterson, Foster, McCoy, Barber, Tolbert

Should I drop Barber or McNabb for Vick? One or the other for Spiller? What do you all think?

I'd say wait until you actually have a need to use that claim. You have 2 good QB options in a 1 QB league, and at least 4 decent RB options in a 2 RB league. Unless you want to add a guy for the purpose of trading for a WR, I'd wait for the next waiver WR stud to break out.

2nd the TT.

You don't need a RB. Wait until a stud WR is out there and cash Manningham in for him.

Cool. Another question, same league.

Which TE should I pickup?

A Hernandez
B Pettigrew
J Gresham (current te)
O Daniels (on waivers, just dropped)

I'd go with Hernandez. The Pats throw the ball like 75% of the time and will split him out quite a bit. He's pretty much a WR3.

Well, nevermind what I just said. Apparently Gonzalez is out 4-6 weeks.

I've got Vick and Cutler, both most likely too injured for week 5 duty. Who do I drop for Bradford? (vs Det)

QB(1): Vick, Cutler
WR(3):AJ, Wayne, Welker, Clayton
RB(2): AP, Foster, McCoy, Tolbert, Torain, Green-Ellis
TE(1): Hernandez

Tough week, as Welker and Hernandez are on bye, and AJ might still be injured. If AJ is out, I'll have to roll w/o a te if I want to keep Hernandez all year.

Vick may be out for longer, but Cutler is more likely to have the terrible week thrown in with the okay ones. I'd sit on it for a day or two and find out what happens with Vick's diagnosis.

Clayton is out for the year. I need WR depth. B Tate and M Williams were dropped by the guy with the top waiver priority, which assures me of one of them. (I have the 3rd priority, and you're not allowed to make a claim on someone you dropped until the waiver period ends).

Who should be my top priority (I'll make a claim for both, but I suspect I'll only get 1), Tate or Williams?
