On the one hand, it's hard to see Trump doing anything beyond being a blowhard. OTOH Venezuela and North Korea don't have to worry about AIPAC.

ETA: And of course being Trump, he will change his mind one way or the other.

WASHINGTON — President Trump approved military strikes against Iran in retaliation for downing an American surveillance drone, but pulled back from launching them on Thursday night after a day of escalating tensions.

As late as 7 p.m. Thursday, military and diplomatic officials were expecting a strike, after intense discussions and debate at the White House among the president’s top national security officials and congressional leaders, according to multiple senior administration officials involved in or briefed on the deliberations.

I would like to know if he changed his mind or he had it changed for him. If our generals are having to forcefully restrain this idiot from doing something the whole country will regret, its time for those impeachment hearings. I know that's a big IF but you have to wonder.

The only people who could change his mind would be Sean, Tucker, Laura, Judge Jeanine, one of his morning Friends. Maybe Kanye. Or Kid Rock. Or Nugent. Perhaps Keith Hernandez.

Certainly wasn't the generals.

I'm not sure why people keep crediting this to Putin. Trump is erratic and likes to avoid real conflict, which is a benefit in this case.
