Final Four (Round 5) Discussion
So the Elite Eight ends with one powerhouse masterpiece stomping a giant [expletive] boot on grunge era music, a tie of two fantastic cover songs that went to extra innings**, someone with possibly the best set of pipes of all time beating an all-star cast, and a hippie chick beating an iconic pianist.
If some of the matches were really hard in the Elite Eight, they're going to be absolutely brutal in the Final Four.
Here are the matches, set to start on Friday afternoon:
Janis Joplin's "Me and Bobby McGee" vs Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You"
Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah" vs The Fugees' "Killing Me Softly"
If one of your songs made it this far, and you haven't yet, start pimping the hell out of it. If you've been pimping your song, keep it up. It may get your song to the championship!
**EDIT: Fugees beat Talking Heads

It was a nice run for Pearl Jam. Time to carry Whitney's corpse across the finish line and have her cut down the nets.

Sorry, zeus, but I hope Talking Heads wins. I don't want to be torn about voting for my own song in the final four.

Bobby McGee is the only song left that I wouldn't turn off if it came on the radio.

I'm the corollary to that in that it's probably the only song I would turn off if I heard it on the radio.GeddyWrox wrote:Bobby McGee is the only song left that I wouldn't turn off if it came on the radio.
