"Somewhere Out There" has an inflection point where it goes from "what am I listening to?" to "actually, this is quite sweet". It is a good example of using technical limitations to better integrate the song with the story within which it appears, even if I wouldn't want to listen to it very often on its own.

Everything about Kermit singing "The Rainbow Connection" seems like it should be and was designed to be corny, but the song is too good so it still surprises me people think of it as a guilty pleasure.
