I heard about Norm's passing while I was driving home from Illinois today and it just made my drive really, really, somber. He has been my favorite comedian for as long as I can remember. I'm sad.

Damn. One of the few famous comedians I saw in person. I saw him at Summerfest in the late 90s. It was like 100+ degrees inside the tent. Norm said he had the flu and he looked absolutely miserable but he still was really funny. I don't recall the jokes it was so long ago. I just remember laughing really hard and him looking like [expletive]. His shirt was totally soaked with sweat.

I'm gonna channel my inner Jocephus and post this amazing, surrealist, hilarious Conan joke.

That was fantastic

This feels obligatory. His relentless OJ jokes was "reported" to be why he had to leave SNL

I am above all incredibly plugged-in, and today I saw nothing but a unanimous outpouring of grief for Norm. Perhaps his influence is especially profound among my generation - I think his anti-humor is intensely felt among millennials - but frankly, everybody I know understood and revered his genius. There will never be another Norm.

He did an OJ joke at the ESPYS and that’s why it’s now just star worship.
