Alicent protected him. It's a monarchy. The power of the royal family is absolute. Rhaenyra certainly didn't want Cole to make a public confession. Leanor would have wanted justice but he would have had to expose himself.

Now *this* episode was dark, but apparently it depended a lot on your tv. I could barely see parts of it on my tv, and it looked fine on my computer.

They probably spent $30mil on that episode, and all I saw was black with a few blobs of green. Reminds me of the Cardinals' Greg Holland contract.

I've heard the complaints about the darkness of the episode but I honestly didn't notice

Rhaenys is very cool and our first truly lovable character. Incredible speech to the queen (a hole in your prison) and the dragon prison escape.

(Bill hader weird snl guy voice) Toddler fight pits. Foot fetishist spymaster degrading the queen for his loyalty. Feminism. Dragon jailbreaks. This episode has it all.

I can’t wait for Kristian Cole to get merc’d. Hate that guy

Criston started off so noble then once he lost his virginity he became a homicidal maniac. There's a lesson in there somewhere for y'all heathens.

My lady the Queen who never was looked bad ass on her dragon. Agree that she's about the best character to root for.

Viserys was a sympathetic character but his weakness caused the events that led to the succession wars. If he'd been as strong earlier as he was in his final day maybe things wouldn't have spiraled. He was no fool but was happy to play one nonetheless.

Don't get me started on that perv Larys.

Rhaenys killed dozens of small folk coming out of that non-up-to-code floor. Highest body count yet. She's practically Dany.

JK. Small folk don't count on this show.
