Fishing Drama

Post by sighyoung »

Comparable to the discussions of cheating in chess, there's now a scandal in competitive fishing, with competitors found to be stuffing fish with lead weights, fish filets, and other material to win fishing competitions.
This may not open for you, but it does provide some background.

This is a film of the fishermen confronted and caught cheating.

First saw that and thought the yelling and harassment was a bit much, but then saw the money involved and that they'd won before and then I was totally on board with it. Had it coming.

That video feels like an I Think You Should Leave skit.

This would be a much better story if they had found anal beads in the fish.

Seriously though, this is fascinating stuff. Can they be legally prosecuted for this, or just banned from the fishing community?
