I'm not investing until Nov. and then will prob. look for 8 month "strong buy" stocks. My 401K has been in the toilet all year.

"Be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful." - Warren Buffett.

But don't jump in. Buy in very gradually over time. If the market goes lower, then you can buy at better prices.

Find a company that is getting beat down by the overall market for no reason...if it has good financials, low debt, and a decent dividend, throw your money there and retire in peace. Always do the dividend reinvestment if you are in it for the long haul. Don't go for fads, unless you can keep up, go for what everyone buys...and has good, solid financials.

Also, with everything moving towards the global economy...picking up an international fund might be a good option too.

If you want to play it safe...US Savings Bonds or CD's at your bank...should get you between 3%-5% a year depending on the bank. If you are going the savings bonds route, I would do the I-bonds...they track to inflation better than EE bonds.

If you have enough spare change, start spreading it between these areas: market, cd's, bonds...diversification is a good thing. It helps protect against dips like this.

Personally, I'm looking to jump in and invest in the markets. Big dips like this don't come along very often.

That's true I've done well in the stock market in two diff. periods. Once in 97' while in college with Amazon and then with Qualcomm, both I sold early but still did well. 6 months after 9/11 I started investing again and made a profit.

Personally, I'd stick with blue-chippers if you need invest now or if you're patient ride it out until some economic improves as well as consumer confidence.

Based on my experiences last weekend, I rate both hookers and blow as "strong buy" candidates.

I am going to start dealing cocaine and hooking on the side to see how much extra cash this provides.

Dealing coke to your johns is brilliant synergy. Sound synergistic business models are the wave of the future. Maybe include a blog or porn site.

About 6 mo ago I to gradually reconfigured my 401k to about 20% cash/money markets. figured it was better to pull something off the table. I'm only down 8.5% as opposed to the normal 14 +% drops - big whoopie.

But here's what sucks - my piddly 401K account via Fidelity was placed on hold because of too many transactions. No more moving money for half the year. they make it look like you can move money around, but you can't really.

Ok - I'm done [expletive] abou the Man.

Somehow you need to work "On Demand" into the title of your services. Given, by it's very nature, the hooking business is on demand. But to this point, they haven't made good use of those buzzwords.

Also, they need to be able to send you a text to order your services.
