I'll see it. But gross. I really am disappointed by the news. I put the chances of Fred Armisen being in it at 100 percent. Jack Black -- 75. James Corden-- 65. Dave Grohl -- 50/50.

Besides, Popstar was a great spiritual ancestor (IMO, it bombed really hard--I really liked it).

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

Is it a great movie? I don't know. But I enjoyed the hell out of it. It was campy, funny and had some action like all Nicholas Cage films should. If you're a Cage fan you'll enjoy it.

I'm too young to have been around for Top Gun's first go-around (seen it once a long time ago), but the preview and Cruise's agelessness made it look like exactly the same movie

Finally watched this. It's good. But he full on looks like The Crow in some scenes. Honestly, saying this without irony, I would have rather seen Lin Manuel Miranda's vision here. It would be far more subversive at this point. Also, now that malls are dying, where do goth kids hang out? In their Crow shirts?

Again, good movie. I just don't like the directional choice. Lame in its lack of creativity. Maybe the new Bond movies can be fun. With gadgets and entendre. But I'm expecting forty dialog free minutes of 007 in a gulag.
Is this something that was supposed to happen?? Google isn't turning up anything.

No, I was just trying to be provocative. This isn't always easy to do by referencing a showtunes artist, but I really think I succeeded.

The Batman The 2 is just going to be Batman and his doctor on a rooftop so dark it will only be available on Laserdisc, as The Batman gets diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic Cancer while The Joker looks at child pornography on a computer, intercut with a 25 minute flashback of his father beating the [expletive] out of him. No dialogue--just the violence.

This was funny but those the recent Apes movies are also really good. First one is a bit uneven, but they get better as they go. I think it's pretty amazing we got 2.5 movies where the main characters are apes who mostly sign to each other and feel like completely believable characters.
