Ted Lasso is the perfect show. I do not know any other way to describe it.

I think it legitimately makes me a better person because it makes me more grateful and compassionate, like Ted Lasso himself. It has legitimately awesome story lines regarding forgiveness, understanding, and healthy perspective about what you can and can't control in life and where and how you should invest your emotional labor.
I know people who don't watch are like, "sure dude, seems like a bit much" but it's true. I had a terrible week a couple of weeks ago in terms of wanting certain things with certain people in my life to go a certain way, they very much didn't, and when I binged the first season to ramp up to the season 2 premiere, it had a shockingly (perhaps embarrassingly) large positive affect on my outlook. In today's world, if you find something that helps you cope, no matter how trivial, it's v good.

The funny thy about Ted Lasso is that it has 80s/90s family sitcom warmth, and it's actually quite subversive. Remember how uncomfortable you were when you watched Sunny P and The Office initially? I can't even imagine what it would take to feel that way now. TV comedy has been terrible people or at least people that hate each other for a long time.
It's refreshing and timely--not in that it reflects our times, but it is what we need.
Looking forward to season two, but I'm waiting.

I’m caught up on Ted Lasso and my favorite thing right now is these dribs and drabs of Nate being a burgeoning a-hole. That’s gotta go somewhere interesting.

I'm not gay for Roy Kent, but I'm not not gay for Roy Kent either.
