I'm worried we're headed for a world of about 20-30 CBS All Accesses.
Then they won't release on DVD and these shows are just lost once some of the services go under.
I wouldn't worry about it. Some outfit with terrible customer service will offer all of the streaming services and internet to you for one convenient fee. Then we will enter the cord-re-splicing era. All the better if somehow landlines can become a solution to anything as well.
Edit: whoops I stepped all over CardsSTL's feet here. Missed his post previously.
It will be interesting if we'll have to remember this as a golden era of content, or of whatever attempts to squeeze it for cash will continually be subverted well enough.
The Internet certainly doesn't need any more people complaining about some filmmaker's vision of their fictional heroes, but man, Yossarian doesn't feel right to me. The show is good, but he plays wrong--in my reading, at least.
Fleabag is one of the best comedies I’ve seen in years. Crass and funny, but charming and full of heart.
Conversely, 3 episodes into What We Do in the Shadows and it hasn’t been that funny. The movie was better, but it might just need some more time. The new energy vampire character might be the best thing about it. Actor is the nerdy drug thief from Better Call Saul, and he just talks about mundane stuff for a few minutes until people are half asleep. It’s depicted as a genuine supernatural power though.
