I have a 45 single record of it. It always makes the stack I put on the record changer better for sure

The whole Breakfast in America album would make a great soundtrack.

Man you couldn't go anywhere in 79 or 80 without hearing something from that album. Like Rumours a few years before.

Makes a good montage.

But if I'm trying outfits on at the mall to my friend's thumbs down until I get it right, give me You Got the Love I Need. Hall and Oates know how to compress time.

Wow, I feel like I was just transported 40 years back in time.

In a good way, not a backwards-ass, redneck, authoritarian, theocratic way, which is nice.

I don't know if you followed any of my posts in the "What are you doing during the pandemic?" thread, but I got into restoring old stereos and record players. Here are the 45's currently on the stack in addition to that one. I got these either at Goodwill for $0.44 each or a radio station that was selling all their old records for $1 each:

Limahl - Neverending Story
Prince - Purple Rain
Hall & Oates - I Can't Go For That
The Doors - Roadhouse Blues
Thompson Twins - Hold Me Now
Moody Blues - I Know You're Out There Somewhere
Eddy Grant - Electric Avenue
Alan Parsons Project - Eye In The Sky
Men at Work - Down Under
Madonna - Lucky Star

I have about a dozen more but I'd have to get them out to remember all of them

Lately I've been into slightly lesser-known songs from bands like Talking Heads, Siouxsie & The Banshees, The B-52's, and Devo. Basically alternative/New Wave from the late 70s to the early 80s. The weirder and more absurd, the better.

Stuff like this:

This video is a must-see:
