Anyone watching livestream concerts.? Any good ones you?

I guess I can watch-listen to old ones on youtube - but catching them virtual time seems different for some reason.

I may watch local band "The Mighty Pines " tonight.

Ed O'Brien, guitar player for Radiohead, released his debut solo album yesterday. Listening to it now and I like it. Makes me realize Radiohead songs are more than just Yorke and Greenwood productions like I assumed.

I did a search, to make sure I wasn't redundantly posting a song. Seems like, at the least, heyzeus, ThirdMan and lukethedrifter are familiar with Manic Street Preachers. I heard this song ("To Repel Ghosts") a couple weeks back, and can't get the groove out of my head. I'm not a musician, but if I was, I would have a blast extending this one out via intros/solos/jamming/outros in concert. It just feels like a song where the music lends itself to that.

And does anyone else pick up on a U2 vibe?

Run the Jewels 4 is the perfect album for this moment in time. From the Ringer's review, try to read this and not be inspired:
https://www.theringer.com/music/2020/6/ ... iller-mike
[SHOW]
And every day on the evening news they feed you fear for free
And you so numb you watch the cops choke out a man like me
Until my voice goes from a shriek to whisper, “I can’t breathe”

And then the pulverizing baritone is back. He’s talking to you, whoever, whatever, wherever you are, however complicit.

And you sit there in house on couch and watch it on TV
The most you give’s a Twitter rant and call it a tragedy
But truly the travesty: You’ve been robbed of your empathy
Replaced it with apathy, I wish I could magically

He speeds up; history is speeding up.

Fast-forward the future so then you can face it
And see how [expletive] up it’ll be
I promise I’m honest, they coming for you
The day after they comin’ for me

That's a good song! And you're right, I am a fan of this band. Try out this older song by them. It's from the mid 90s, but man, lyrically, it's as if it was written for this very moment in history. Musically, it's gorgeous.

Not so fun fact about the Manic Street Preachers- their original lead singer disappeared and was never found. He battled a lot of problems, for example, he once once got worked up during an interview and carved "4REAL" into his arm with a knife. This article explains a lot about the guy.
