I just wish there was some merchandise or present day content for me to feel connected with the franchise all these years later.

Only slightly related, but this reminds me I read a story a while back that Funko had to dump/destroy ~$30 million worth of toys because the cost of storing inventory was too high.

It was so good they're prematurely canceling it after two seasons because their target market is uninterested by it.
